Graze with the Greats Event Receiving Strong Support

Final preparations are being made for the December 26 event that will celebrate the Baltimore Colts 23-17 overtime win over the New York Giants to claim the NFL Championship. It marked the first time an NFL game had went into sudden death overtime and to this day is considered to be the “Greatest Game Ever Played.”
To date, Baltimore and Mid-Atlantic region corporate and private donors have committed $100k to this event with proceeds benefiting the Baltimore Football Club/Fourth and Goal Foundation and their efforts to provide support for retired NFL players in need. In addition proceeds from the event will assist the The Brigance Brigade Fund at BCF, founded by O.J. Brigance to help prevent and treat ALS by benefiting the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins and The Ed Block Courage Award Foundation and its efforts to prevent child abuse throughout the country.

About Jeff Nixon

Jeff was a first team consensus All-American from the University of Richmond in 1978. He is 7th in NCAA history with 23 career interceptions. Played for the Buffalo Bills 1979-1984. Led the team with 6 interceptions in Rookie Year. Holds Bills record for 4 takeaways in a single game - 3 interceptions and a fumble recovery. Tied Bills record with four consecutive games with an interception. After 5 knee surgeries Jeff retired from pro football in 1985. He worked for 13 years (1988-2000) as the Youth Bureau Director for Buffalo and Erie County. He has worked for the past 11 years as the Youth Employment Director for Buffalo. Plays guitar and was voted best R&B guitar player by Buffalo Nightlife Magazine in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
