Jeff Nixon Sports Report

If you’ve been hanging around here for any length of time you know the professionalism and insight former Buffalo Bill Jeff Nixon brings to retired player issues. Thankfully we’re not the only ones who’ve noticed Jeff’s ability to convey a complex message in a way that everyone understands. The good folks over at Modavox Internet Broadcasting have beefed up their internet talk radio programming by launching the Jeff Nixon Sports Report. In addition to discussing issues related to the retired player, Jeff and his guests will discuss the latest happenings of the sports world. The show will air LIVE each Monday at 5 p.m. eastern/2 p.m. for those of you on the left coast and 4 p.m. for those in the center of the country. Here’s the link to bookmark so you can listen.

On Jeff’s inaugural show on January 26th, Fourth and Goal president Bruce Laird discussed his appearance on HBO’s “Real Sports” Program that began airing on January 20. You can take a listen to the show here.

On February 2nd, Hall of Famer Joe Delamielleure joined Jeff to recap Super Bowl 43. You can get Joe D’s comments here. And just this past Monday, Jeff welcomed retired player/advocate Dave Pear and disability Attorney John Hogan on the show to discuss the NFLPA’s disability plan.

About Jeff Nixon

Jeff was a first team consensus All-American from the University of Richmond in 1978. He is 7th in NCAA history with 23 career interceptions. Played for the Buffalo Bills 1979-1984. Led the team with 6 interceptions in Rookie Year. Holds Bills record for 4 takeaways in a single game - 3 interceptions and a fumble recovery. Tied Bills record with four consecutive games with an interception. After 5 knee surgeries Jeff retired from pro football in 1985. He worked for 13 years (1988-2000) as the Youth Bureau Director for Buffalo and Erie County. He has worked for the past 11 years as the Youth Employment Director for Buffalo. Plays guitar and was voted best R&B guitar player by Buffalo Nightlife Magazine in 2006, 2007 and 2008.
